This is a question many people ponder when comparing the portrait of God presented in the Old Testament to what Jesus tells us of God in the New Testament. Some believers make various excuses for God’s angry, violent, and vindictive behavior in the Old Testament, but others have a completely different answer.
More than two years ago I shared my perspective on the question in my post, The God of the Old Testament vs. the Father of the New Testament. From that time until now, this post has been a perennial favorite day-in and day-out. In fact, other than the About this Blog page, it is the most-viewed item on my blog, with the largest number of comments and interactions.
Today I announce the revision and updating of the popular article, The God of the Old Testament vs. the Father of the New Testament. The graphic is also improved.
